Growing up in Aberdeen, SD, Pastor Tony met his wife of 26+ years, Rhonda, while in high school. Together they have three children, Liz (23), Sam (19) and Justin (19). With a degree in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota, life as a pastor is a second career for this native of Moorhead, MN. After spending 9 years working in the kitchen remodeling franchise business, Tony attended Wartburg Seminary in Dubuque, IA including a one-year internship at First Lutheran Church in Harvey, ND. During his time in Dubuque, Tony was contracted by Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Schappeville, IL to preach, lead worship and provide adult education classes. Tony’s first call was as a mission redevelopment pastor to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Aberdeen and his second call, before coming to Holy Cross, here in Sioux Falls, was as Senior Pastor at Canton Lutheran Church in Canton, SD. Tony is currently president of the Crossroads Conference Pastors, serves as the treasurer and financial secretary for Lutheran Campus Ministry in the SD Synod and also volunteers as a coach for congregations in the work of Transformational Ministry. Pastor Tony recently started the blog Another Look as a way to begin conversations about faith and life. |
