High Voltage

High Voltage is a program designed for the 5th & 6th graders to learn the word of God. It is pre-confirmation where you get to spend time with the pastors and develop relationships with youth peers.

These children have heard and know Christ. At this point in their lives, they are ready to move from passive listeners to active doers. We need to provide many appropriate atmospheres for your children to grow confident in this part of their faith journey. High Voltage is the way to accomplish that in a fun environment. Come and check it out on Wednesday nights from 5:30-6:30 p.m. during the school year.

Attention 5th & 6th Graders - come and join us for an awesome experience each Wednesday night during the school year! Come for the message; stay for pizza afterwards!

When do we meet?

The 5th & 6th Graders, "High Voltage", meet Wednesdays from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm during the school year.

What do we do?

Active learning workshops are lead by Pastor Mel with individual guidance of adults (ratio 1:9). 5th & 6th Graders concentrate on one Bible lesson a month based on the lectionary calendar.

Why do we spend so much time on one scripture lesson?

We spend several weeks on one story allowing us to experience the content in several ways, reaching children where they learn best. Some activities include - Bible reader's theater, dramas, games, snacks, quiz shows, and so much more! Activities also give you a jump on the worship experience; at the end of the month, you have already studied the concept for three weeks!

What about the Pizza?

Wednesday nights can be busy for families. So we offer pizza from 6:30 - 6:50 pm at a $1 per slice. Join your family and friends in our Fellowship Hall for a relaxing meal before you head to choir practice at church or head home to finish your homework.
